About

Ashley graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from the University of South Carolina, where she was a collegiate athlete in women’s cross country and track and field. Ashley also completed her Master’s in Public Health, with a concentration in health policy, at the University of South Carolina. During graduate school, Ashley worked at the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. Upon graduation, she was selected as a Practice Administrator Fellow and completed a yearlong fellowship with Lexington Medical Center. After her fellowship, Ashley attended the University of South Carolina School of Law.

While in law school, Ashley clerked for Columbia trial lawyer and State Senator, Dick Harpootlian. She was involved in numerous high-profile public interest matters and gained valuable experience in the areas of criminal defense and personal injury. During law school, Ashley was an active member of the Journal of Law and Education, where she served as Associate Editor-in-Chief. Ashley participated in the Carolina Health Advocacy Medicolegal Partnership (CHAMPS) Clinic, which gave her the opportunity to collaborate with the USC School of Medicine and Prisma Health on legal matters impacting children’s health. Ashley also completed a judicial externship with the Honorable George C. James of the Supreme Court of South Carolina.

When not practicing law, Ashley enjoys running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her fiancé and dog.  Ashley is active in the The Nature Conservancy and Junior League of Greenville.  Ashley also is a graduate of the National Outdoors Leadership School (NOLS).
