Barrett practices in the area of general civil litigation at both
the state and federal court levels, with concentrations in personal injury litigation and commercial, business and real
estate litigation.
Barrett was admitted to the South Carolina Bar and the
United States District Court, District of South Carolina, in
2002. He is a member of the South Carolina and Charleston
County Bar Associations, as well as the American Bar Association. He is also an active volunteer with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization in the Charleston area.
Barrett graduated from the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill in 1998 with a double major in English literature
and philosophy. In 2002, he received his juris doctorate from
Wake Forest University. While at Wake Forest, Barrett was a member of the Moot Court Board and National Trial Team,
and was a recipient of the Order of Barristers for excellence
in courtroom advocacy.
