John L. McDonald, Jr.

Jay tries numerous cases each year throughout South Carolina. Over the past 10 years, he has tried more wreck cases than just about any other attorney in the Charleston tri-county area

 

Jay is a member of the Charleston County Bar Association and South Carolina Bar Association. He presents seminars on a variety of litigation topics including: the use of biomechanical experts in wreck cases; State v. Council/Daubert issues; summary jury trials as an alternative dispute resolution alternative; and evidentiary issues.

 

Jay graduated from Clemson University in 1985 with a bachelor degree in industrial management. He obtained his juris doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1988. Following his graduation, he began his legal career with Clawson & Staubes.

 

Jay lives in Mount Pleasant and enjoys golf and Clemson football.
