Kristen N. Nichols Voyer

        

Kristen joined Clawson and Staubes as an associate in 2006, after serving as a clerk for the firm in 2005. Kristen practices in the areas of commercial law, bankruptcy and general civil litigation. Kristen was admitted to the South Carolina Bar and the United States District Court, District of South Carolina in 2006.
Kristen, although born in Omaha, Nebraska, grew up in Charleston. Kristen graduated from the University of South Carolina magna cum laude in 2002 with bachelor of Arts in international relations, where she was a member of the University of South Carolina chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. Kristen received her law degree from Michigan State University in 2005, where she was a member of the American Inns of Court, Phi Alpha Delta, and on the Editorial Board of the Michigan State Journal of Medicine and Law. She was published in the Journal in 2005.
While in college, Kristen worked with two familiar names to South Carolina –Strom Thurmond and Glen McConnell. She was a summer intern for Senator Thurmond in his Washington office, and was part of State Senator McConnell’s Columbia staff for two years.
Kristen, a "die-hard," third-generation Gamecock fan, looks forward to football season each year and can be found in Columbia tailgating with family and friends before games. Aside from sports, Kristen enjoys spending time outdoors at the beach, playing golf, running and taking her Boxer, "Mr. Richard", on walks.
