Ravi C. Sanyal

Ravi was born in New York City and grew up in Poughkeepsie, NY.  Ravi's mothers family is from Charleston, SC so this became Ravi's second home.  Eventually, Ravi's whole family moved back to the Charleston area and Ravi settled here permanently.

 

Ravi began his legal career as an Assistant Solicitor for the Ninth Judicial Circuit in 2000 and remained there until 2006.  Ravi specialized in prosecuting narcotics offenses and was the Charleston County Adult Drug Court Prosecutor from 2001 thru 2006.

 

Ravi remains active in the Charleston County Bar Association and was on the Executive Committee for The Charleston County Bar in 2005.  Ravi has also been appointed by Charleston County Council to be on The Charleston County Parks and Recreations Commission.

 

Ravi lives in Charleston with his wife Kathryn and his daughter Ela.  He enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and sports.
