R. Scott Wallinger, Jr.

Scott Wallinger was born in Charleston, South Carolina. He defends individuals and businesses in complex litigation throughout the state. His areas of practice include insurance coverage disputes and "bad faith" litigation, accidents causing catastrophic property damage, personal injuries and wrongful death, commercial trucking accidents, professional negligence claims, and business litigation. Scott has represented major insurers in litigation over insurance treaties, agency agreements, and coverage matters. He also has represented banks and lenders involving allegations of unfair debt collection. Scott has represented manufacturers and distributors of a wide range of products from pistol ammunition to industrial machinery.

Scott is no stranger to the courtroom. He enjoys studying the art and science of trial advocacy. Early in his career Scott served as a state prosecutor, including several years as an Assistant Attorney General of South Carolina, which allowed him to try cases throughout South Carolina. Scott is familiar with most of the South Carolina court venues in which clients face litigation. Scott finds it equally rewarding to assist and defend owners of small businesses and the largest corporations.

Scott is married with three children. In his spare time he enjoys boating on the waters around Charleston and travel.
