Terri Morrill Lynch of Counsel

Terri is a member of the South Carolina Workers Compensation Educational Association, the South Carolina Self-insured Employers’ Association, and the South Carolina Women Lawyer’s Association. She handles and tries workers compensation cases at all phases beginning at the Hearing Commissioner level, through the appeals process, including before the Full Commission, Circuit Court, and Court of Appeals and Supreme Court, representing individuals; employers, including self-insured; insurance carriers, and the South Carolina Uninsured Employers Fund. Terri also teaches many seminars in Workers’ Compensation, including recently in Advanced Workers’ Compensation, the handling of a claim from the Employer’s perspective.

 

Terri, who grew up in Indiana and graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne, attended college at Hillsdale College in Michigan, before transferring and  graduating with High Distinction from the University of Arizona. She obtained her juris doctorate from Indiana School of Law at Indianapolis. Following her graduation, she practiced for two years with the office of the Attorney General for the State of Indiana in the Highway department litigating land condemnation cases. She then relocated to South Carolina where she worked briefly for a small plaintiff’s firm before settling in the Charleston area and practicing primarily in the area of Workers’ Compensation for a large defense firm and with her own practice before joining Clawson and Staubes.  Terri is a member of the Indiana bar, inactive status, and a current member of the South Carolina bar.

 

While in college, Terri was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, and continues to be active in their Charleston alumna association.  At the University of Arizona, she was initiated into the scholastic honorary fraternity, Phi Kappa Phi. She is a member of the legal fraternity, Phi Delta Phi. Terri has also been active in Girl Scouting, as a Senior level Scout herself, and as an adult service unit and troop leader for various ages and levels of Girl Scouts.

 

Terri is married with four children. She lives on the Isle of Palms and enjoys reading, traveling, and her children’s various activities from surfing contests to soccer and competition dance.
