Estate Planning and Administration

Estate Planning and Administration have long been areas with which the firm has wide experience. We offer guidance and advice to clients who need an appropriate estate plan and want to ensure that property is passed to appropriate beneficiaries at their death. We also provide advice to clients seeking to maximize the eventual distribution of the family wealth.

 

Our services include acting as attorneys for the administration of estates in South Carolina Probate Courts representing the Personal Representatives. This service frees Personal Representatives from many of the responsibilities required by the Probate Code. Our trained attorneys and staff are well equipped to ensure that the decedent’s assets are properly accounted for, final debts are paid, and property is distributed in accordance with the provisions of the Will. This service provides peace of mind, ensuring that the administration of the estate is properly handled and expeditiously completed.

 

We also offer Will drafting services, Durable Powers of Attorney, Declarations of a Desire for a Natural Death, and inter vivos planning through the use of various trust instruments.
