CHARLESTON LAWYER PARTICIPATES IN DIVERSITY ACADEMY

 

            Ron Jones of the Charleston law firm Clawson & Staubes, LLC, has been selected as a participant in the inaugural Lowcountry Diversity Leadership Academy. The Academy is a community-based leadership development program that provides diversity, management, and leadership skills to Lowcountry business, civic and community leaders. The program is sponsored and directed by The Richard W. Riley Institute of Government, Politics and Public Leadership at Furman University and was developed by the American Institute for Managing Diversity, Inc. Classes focus on the development of diversity skills, creative thinking, diversity management and exposing community leaders to a comprehensive array of resources on cutting-edge perspectives and approaches to diversity.

            Ron Jones practices in the area of commercial law and bankruptcy, and is a certified specialist in bankruptcy and debtor-creditor law, receiving the specialist distinction from the South Carolina Supreme Court.  Ron graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in political science. He received his master degree in public policy/legislative affairs from George Washington University and a juris doctorate from Campbell University School of Law.
