About

Katelyn is an associate attorney in the Columbia office who focuses primarily on insurance defense and general civil litigation. Katelyn grew up in Columbia City, Indiana, and graduated from Indiana University in 2016 with a degree in Political Science. Before joining Clawson and Staubes, Katelyn clerked for South Carolina Circuit Judge Eugene C. Griffith, Jr. where she gained invaluable insights into the courtroom proceedings and trials.

Katelyn graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law Cum Laude. While in law school, she worked with the school’s Domestic Violence Clinic where she helped assist victims of domestic violence obtain Orders of Protection and find resources such as counseling, housing, and necessities. She also was involved in organizations such as Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society, Women in Law, Children’s Law Advocacy Society, and Parents in Law Student Association.

Katelyn lives in the Columbia area with her husband and two children. She enjoys baking, traveling to new destinations and spending time with her family.
