Michael graduated magna cum laude from Clemson University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and minor in Spanish. He then attended law school at the University of South Carolina School of Law. While in law school, he served as a research assistant for Professor Elizabeth Chambers, completed the Judicial Observation Experience under then-Chief Justice of the South Carolina Supreme Court, The Honorable Jean Hoefer Toal, and served as a law clerk for the Office of Governor of South Carolina. Michael was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2016 and the North Carolina Bar in 2017.
Upon graduating law school, Michael returned home to York County, South Carolina where he clerked for the Honorable Daniel D. Hall of the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit of South Carolina. Michael began his practice with a general litigation firm where he handled insurance defense and other litigation matters. Michael also has transactional experience practicing in the commercial real estate, corporate, and estate planning arenas.
Michael lives in Charlotte and enjoys swimming, practicing yoga, reading, following current events, traveling, playing piano, and watching the Clemson Tigers.
