Michael Haigler was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. He graduated from Providence Senior High, and went on to graduate summa cum laude from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, along with minors in History and Spanish. Michael earned his Juris Doctor from Charlotte School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude. While in law school, Michael clerked at a law firm focusing on civil litigation and criminal defense. Additionally, Michael served as a Civil Procedure Teaching Assistant during his second and third years of law school. Michael was a member of the Order of the Crown Honor Society, and served as the President of Phi Delta Phi, legal honor society, during his last year of law school.
Prior to attending law school, Michael worked in wide array of industries and roles, that provided invaluable experience in dealing with people, and specifically relating to jurors. Some of Michael’s previous roles included the construction and automotive industries
Michael has been a practicing litigator since 2014. Michael has represented individuals, businesses, and insurance carriers all over North Carolina. Michael has extensive experience in general liability, motor vehicle liability, premises liability, construction defect, business litigation, and other complex litigation. Michael has tried numerous case to jury verdict in Superior and District Courts across North Carolina. Some of Michael’s representative clients include: individuals, businesses, business owners, trucking and transportation companies, utility companies, school boards, government entities, insurance carriers, and residential and commercial construction companies. Additionally, Michael has handled appellate matters before the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Michael prides himself on preparation, attention to detail, and accessibility for all clients.
As a true native Charlottean, Michael has a profound sense of pride and passion in the Charlotte community. Michael enjoys a myriad of sports, outdoor activities, and visiting the multitude of Charlotte breweries. Michael is an ardent supporter of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Carolina Panthers, and Charlotte Hornets.
